Gov. Kasich will be the first candidate to make a visit to the area.
“I am pleased to bring in one of the Republican presidential candidates to our community,” Monroe County GOP Chairman Bill Reilich said in a statement. “As the race for the presidential nominee continues, none of the candidates have yet to reach the majority needed of the 2,472 delegates as required to send them to the Republican National Convention, and be the Republican Party’s nominee for president of the United States. With a recent change in New York State Republican Party rules, New York is no longer a winner take all state. This makes New York more relevant than ever before, as 95 delegates are up for grabs. I welcome Gov. Kasich to our community, and look forward to hearing his plan for the future of our country.”
The rally is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m., in The Town of Greece Community and Senior Center, 3 Vince Tofany Blvd., Rochester, 14612.
Doors will open at 10:3 a.m. Visit http://kasich-rochester.eventbrite.com/ to RSVP for admission.
