The Rochester Association of Black Journalists has appointed Khristopher Brooks, innovation and entrepreneurship reporter with the Democrat and Chronicle, as its new vice president for social media.
Richard McCollough, RABJ president, has appointed Brooks to succeed Michelle Faust. Faust, who had specialized in health and health policy-related issues at WXXI Public Broadcasting, recently left her position as a reporter and producer to become State Impact Ohio Education reporter/producer with Ideastream in Cleveland, Ohio. Ideastream is that city’s National Public Radio and Public Broadcasting Service station.
Brooks will be in charge of Internet media, and the organization’s website, in his new post. He will serve until December 2017, when RABJ officers are elected, McCollough stated.
