The Greece Chamber of Commerce has awarded Shamila Craddock, CEO of DOC’S Facilities Solutions, with the 2016 Young Professional of the Year Award.
The Greece Chamber will present Craddock with the award during its 31st Annual Community Awards Event, Thursday, May 9, at the Rochester Marriott, 1890 W. Ridge Road, in Greece.
DOC’S Facilities Solutions serves cleaning customers locally, and training customers nationally and internationally, while working with business owners, property managers, college, and university clients, according to Craddock.
“Cleaning-staff are often viewed as low-level, low-value employees,” she stated. “The challenge is that almost anyone can clean; what many lack is structured training, with a focus on good results. The real impact of a clean work place starts with impressions formed when someone enters your front office, and extends to where a company’s billable production happens. I believe ‘cleaning for health’ is THAT important.”
Craddock has actively served on several committees, including volunteering for both WXXI and United Way fundraisers, since becoming a member of the chamber in 2014.
In addition, she’s also a member of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC), and a Certified Trainer with the Cleaning Management Institute (CMI).
The chamber’s award event will take place from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m, Thursday.
