Rochester Police Department Chief Michael Ciminelli announced six additional people have been charged in connection with the mass shooting at the Boys and Girls Club on Genesee St. Aug. 19.
Jonah Barley, Raekwon Manigault and Johnny Johnson were killed, and four other victims were injured during the shooting.
Ciminelli, along with other elected officials including Mayor Lovely Warren and Monroe County District Attorney Sandra Doorley, have asked the community to come forward with any additional information regarding the shooting.
“While countless days and hours have led to these arrests, we are not done,” Ciminelli stated.
Currently, 21-year-old Johnny Blackshell, and 20-year-old Jalen Everett, have been charged with three counts of first-degree murder, six counts of second-degree murder, four counts of first-degree assault, one count of second-degree assault and two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon in connection with the crime.
