(From May 26) – Mayor Lovely Warren has announced Rochester’s 2016 Summer Fest will feature a “Blues & BBQ” theme on Friday, July 8, and a “Throwback 90s” theme Saturday, July 9, at Rhinos Stadium.
Headliner Millie Jackson, and national recording artists Denise LaSalle and Theodis Ealey will perform Friday, according to the mayor, and Joe will perform as the headliner Saturday, along with performing artists Jagged Edge, SWV, Case, Pete Rock and CL Smooth, in addition to local bands.
“The Rochester SummerFest will be a fun-filled, family event with outstanding music, good times, and great food,” Mayor Warren stated. “I encourage everyone to join me at Rhinos Stadium, and enjoy the 2016 SummerFest. Downtown events like this add vibrancy to our city, which bolsters our ability to create jobs, safer more vibrant neighborhoods, and better educational opportunities.”
The gates will open at 5 p.m. Friday, and general admission ticket prices will be $20 in advance, and $30 at the door. VIP tickets will be $40.
In addition to stadium fare, local BBQ vendors will also offer an array of food and drink options for sale.
