Time is almost up for area residents to submit their opinions regarding Rochester Police Department Officers being outfitted with body cameras, according to Rochester City Council. The Council released a community survey in April, and following the two-month public comment period, councilmembers said the survey will conclude June 30.
The survey’s questions range from whether residents think police body cameras would improve safety for citizens and RPD Officers, to whether residents think the body cameras would help solve crimes.

Paper copies of the survey are also available at City Hall, 30 Church St., or any Neighborhood Service Center, city officials stated. The public may also call City Council’s office at (585) 428-7538, and ask to have a survey mailed.
