The city of Rochester will hold a series of Small Business Financial Workshops, offering financial information to current and prospective small business owners.
The workshops are free and open to the public.
Interested individuals should register online, at http://www.cityofrochester.gov/smallbizworkshops/, or print and mail the registration forms at http://www.cityofrochester.gov/article.aspx?id=8589966103 in order to attend.
The following sessions will be held at City Hall, 30 Church St., from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., in Council Chambers on the third floor:
- Sept. 14: Doing Business with the City of Rochester
Topics include: MBWE Certification, Contracting and Grant/Loan Programs
- Sept. 28: Accounting Principles
Topics include: Business formation, Taxation, Profit and Loss, Bookkeeping, Inventory, Assets and Liabilities, and Working Capital
- Oct. 5: Business Banking
Topics include: Loan structuring, Commercial Credit, SBA Financing and Cash management
- Oct. 26: Personal Finance, Insurance and Credit/Debt counseling
Topics include: Increasing your credit score and Managing Debt
