A group of community members will hold a public forum regarding Parcel 5 on Saturday, Oct. 28, at The Little Theatre, 240 East Ave.
The event will take place at 10 a.m., and “is in response to the lack of transparency and community input in the city’s decision-making process,” regarding the Parcel 5 project, “as well as concerns over the viability and inclusivity of the proposed RBTL theatre,” the group said.
The free event will feature short videos, a panel discussion, and audience participation elements.
Panelists will include Maria Furgiuele, the executive director of the Community Design Center; Shawn Dunwoody, an artist and entrepreneur; and Arian Horbovetz, founder of The Urban Phoenix blog.
“While the forum will focus largely on Parcel 5, there will also be conversation about placemaking, livability, inclusive development, and the future of downtown.” the group said in a press release.
Mayor Lovely Warren and City Council members have also been invited to attend the forum.
