The Monroe County Child Support Enforcement Unit will host several events throughout the month of August in recognition of the critical role child support has played in the lives of millions of children.
“Here in Monroe County, we have one of the most effective Child Support Enforcement Units in New York State,” Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo stated. “I am very proud of our dedicated employees who do everything in their power to ensure that children receive the support necessary to lead healthy and productive lives.”
In addition, “Often, child support payments are the resources that prevent children from living in poverty,” newly-appointed Human Services Commissioner Corinda Crossdale stated. “I would like to thank county executive Dinolfo for promoting Child Support Awareness throughout Monroe County. Parents who are able to make their child support payments are more likely to stay involved in a child’s life, and continue to provide financial and emotional support, even when they are living apart.”
The Child Support Enforcement Unit, and the Monroe County Department of Human Services will sponsor the following events in order to bring awareness to the department’s work in the area:
-Thursday, Aug. 4, 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., Holy Apostles Church Ice Cream Social, 530 Lyell Ave.;
