“Write the vision and make it plain, that they who read it may run with it.” Habakkuk 2:2
Greetings Family and Friends from Phyllis Jackson:
God gave me the vision for the Interdenominational Health Ministry Coalition (IHMC) in 2005. But the vision, to teach Health as a Spiritual Matter, and establish functional health ministries in churches to help improve health outcomes, was for a later, appointed time in 2012. It was then that the vision was cast and written for others to read, embrace and run with. And run they did. They ran to their Pastors and leaders; to church families and natural families. They ran to employers and coworkers. They ran to community based organizations, health care providers, and academia, they ran and they cast the vision. Since then both the vision, and IHMC has grown. Our churches have formed many collaborations, impacted the lives and health of thousands of people, and helped improve the health outcomes of many. And, we are still running, still casting, still growing, and still impacting lives and health outcomes.
We are coming together to celebrate on Friday, April 12th what God has done through IHMC and to thank those who have joined with us in fulfilling the vision. To those who have supported us financially and spiritually, we are eternally grateful. The poet, John Milton, wrote “They also serve who stand and wait.“ We thank God for those who also serve IHMC by standing, and waiting with us in prayer. For the countless ways so many of you have blessed IHMC, we celebrate you and pray God will return those blessings to you 30, 60 even to 100 fold. And To those who will read our “Health Is a Spiritual Matter” report and join in with us, we welcome you!
“God has done great things for us and we are filled with Joy.” Come celebrate with us! Please RSVP by April 1st. See below for the invitation and report card.
