Helio Health is moving into a new location in Rochester.

The agency has been promoting recovery from substance use disorders and providing withdrawal and stabilization services in Rochester since 2009 but will now provide those services at 1850 Brighton Henrietta Townline Road.

The new location will help treat more people by increasing capacity to 53 beds.

“Our team is beyond excited to announce the opening of our new and updated facility providing detox and inpatient services to individuals in Rochester,” said Sabrina Howland, Helio Health Regional Vice President of the Finger Lakes. “Our new facility aligns with Helio Health’s mission by providing a welcoming and safe space for individuals during a critical time in their recovery journey. We are grateful for the support of the community which has allowed us to create this space and reach more people in need.”

Howland says the move demonstrates the relationship Helio Health has with the community.

Helio Health’s comprehensive support services include short-term community residences (halfway houses), outpatient counseling, referrals and a host of clinical services for those living with substance use and mental health disorders., according to the agency’s website. Their services span the continuum of recovery, equipped to assist individuals during every stage of the recovery journey.

Helio Health President and C.E.O. Jeremy Klemanski said the new facility offers fresh hope to more people. “Building a place that includes our current understanding of what people need and want in a substance use treatment facility was critical to improving access to, and the quality of care for the people who walk through our doors.  I am encouraged by what we have been able to build with the support of so many people in the community and look forward to being able to serve more people with the addition of thirteen more beds than the previous facility offered.”

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at the new location on Friday, September 23.

Helio Health provides services in Syracuse, Rochester, Binghamton, Utica and surrounding counties in New York State.  Since 1920, Helio Health programs have helped hundreds of thousands of individuals and families in Central New York.
