IGNITE! Vibrations band is creating a buzz around the Rochester Music Scene.  With a pretty robust performance schedule at various venues around the city, people have had many opportunities to experience this unique music vibe, this summer.

The majority of reggae bands in Rochester are white and have no ties to Jamaica or the Caribbean.  IGNITE! is one of the only local reggae bands in Rochester with band members of Jamaican descent.

IGNITE! Vibrations is an evolution of reggae band history.  Ronald “Skill” Gordon formed the second reggae band, Confrontation, the first to be comprised of predominantly Jamaican musicians.  Skill joined forces with 6 other members in 2013, to form the group IGNITE!  Those musicians are:

• Francine “Queen” Wedderburn (singer)

• Autumn “Breeze” Jones (singer)

• Chevy Ford (bass guitarist)

• Tony Hiler (pianist)

• Nick “Stixx” Craddock (drummer)

• Adam Porter (guitarist)

The band plans to record some of their original music during their “off” season.  They usually end their season performing at the NY state fair, scheduled this year for August 27.  However, this year, the band has been requested for a performance in October.  Details on the venue and performance will be announced soon.  Stay tuned to their social media and band website.

IGNITE! has performed at numerous events around the City of Rochester.  From festivals and wineries to beach venues and state fairs, IGNITE! is a very versatile reggae band, catering to diverse audiences.  Their current line up includes sponsored events by the City of Rochester and Wegmans, along with other sponsored events.

The group is due to perform at Seneca Park Zoo’s Zoo brew, August 19.
