Elam will help manage day-to-day operations of the initiative, as well as work with community stakeholders and staff to ensure key groups are working collectively, officials from the initiative stated.
She had previously overseen marketing and development at Trillium Health, and has over 20 years of experience working at non-profit agencies.
“Ms. Elam has a passion for service and helping those most in need. Her wealth of experience and insight will be a tremendous asset to both the initiative and our community,” said Dr. Leonard Brock, initiative director at the United Way.
Brock had been named director of the initiative in May.
