Both events will take place at the First Unitarian Church of Rochester, 220 S. Winton Rd.
“Metro Justice’s values are integral to our annual Alternative Fair,” the organization stated in a press release. “You can enjoy family holiday shopping with a conscience at Metro Justice’s 36th Annual Alternative Fair, featuring thousands of unique fair trade, earth friendly, and locally produced goods that support a strong local economy and a just and sustainable world. There will be thousands of items, including pottery, textiles, jewelry, fine art, toys & games, ornaments (and much more) that are priced in ranges that the whole family can afford. With the popularity of the website Etsy, handmade items are the fastest growing gift trend. At the Metro Justice Alternative Fair, we are providing not only the opportunity to shop for handmade items, but to meet the artisan sellers themselves.”
The cost will be a $5 donation for children age 12 and older; children age 12 and under will be free.
Free child care will also be provided during the event.
