NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF
RENOVATION OF DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN & FAMILY SERVICES - 7th FLOOR
BID REFERENCE NO. 8705
Sealed bids for the construction of Contract No. 1A – General Construction, Contract No.1B – Mechanical, Contract No. 1C – Electrical, and Contract No. 1D Plumbing will be received by the Director, Onondaga County Division of Purchase, 13th Floor, John H. Mulroy Civic Center, 421 Montgomery Street, Syracuse, New York 13202, until 2:00 P.M. Local Time, on September 7, 2017, and there at said office, at said time, publicly opened and read aloud.
The project scope includes, but is not limited to, removal of finishes, lighting and HVAC for provision of new office areas, finishes and MEP. Work shall commence in the Fall of 2017.
The work consists of multiple prime contracts. They shall be awarded for General Construction, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing. The Mechanical shall have subcontract for Fire Protection.

Copies of the above described Contract Documents and Drawings may be examined at no expense at the Onondaga County Division of Purchase, 13th Floor, John H. Mulroy Civic Center, 421 Montgomery Street, Syracuse, New York 13202; and at the office of the Onondaga County Department of Facilities Management, John H. Mulroy Civic Center, Suite 40, 421 Montgomery Street, Syracuse, New York 13202.

A pre-bid meeting will be held to review the specific requirements of the project. This meeting will be held on August 24, 2017, beginning at 10:00am at the Onondaga County Department of Facilities Management Conference Room, John H. Mulroy Civic Center, Suite 40, 421 Montgomery Street, Syracuse, New York 13202. All prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to attend.
Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Security deposit in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid in the form of a Bid Bond or certified check, made payable to The County of Onondaga.
The Bidders should not include in their bid the Sales and Compensating Use Taxes on the cost of the materials which are to be incorporated in the Project and which are to be separately sold by the Bidder to the municipality prior to incorporation into the Project.
Bidders are informed that this project is being funded by Onondaga County. This project will be subject to NYS prevailing wage, affirmative action, and minority and women business enterprise and workforce utilization requirements.
The Owner reserves the right to waive any bid informalities or to reject any or all bids.
