SALARY RANGE: $80,319 to $105,906 / Annually
DEPARTMENT/BUREAU: Information Technology Department / Administration
TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES:
Establishes and maintains relationships with the business unit's leadership team, key Senior Management, and other Stakeholders; Responsible for understanding the strategic imperatives of their Customers, and assisting in alignment with the Organization or Enterprise strategies; Monitors business objectives and anticipates looming business changes to translate into project portfolios, or raises the need for process or technology changes; Provides guidance to decision makers, clarifying principles for desirable behavior in the use of IT, and illuminating opportunities for leverage, prioritization, and sequencing of projects; Responsible for bridging technology and business points of view, and is instrumental in suggesting and advocating changes to business processes and policies (Demand Management vs. Delivery Management); Oversees Project Delivery, adhering to the Project Management tools and ensuring successful delivery in continued alignment with the City's priorities/strategies; Keeps current on emerging technology; Facilitates and contributes to the ongoing development, implementation, and execution of the IT strategic tactical plan; Oversees the development of IT standards and Technology architecture; Creates a quality and continuous improvement culture throughout the IT organization; Negotiates software licenses and consulting engagement agreements; Ensures proper communication and change management with Customers; Coordinates with Customers to develop and manage IT annual operating and capital budget with the goal of lowering the total cost of ownership.
I. Masters or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or closely related field AND four (4) years Information Technology experience which included two (2) years’ experience in Information Technology management showing ALL:
** Working across the full project life cycle on process re-engineering and system implementation projects; AND
** Managing business relationships with Management and Stakeholders; AND
** Experience in ALL these tasks: Enterprise Architecture planning, IT Strategic Planning, and IT Financial Management. OR II. Bachelors or Associates degree AND five (5) years Information Technology experience which included (2) years experience in Information Technology management as described in I. above.
