More InformationTo coordinate and oversee a research project aimed at evaluating the effects of reading on social and emotional development in youth (children ages 5-17 years). Develops and maintains research collaborations with partners in the community (e.g., schools, libraries, non-profit organizations) and serves as the liaison between the project, families and community agencies.
Completes recruitment activities to identify, assess and enroll participants. Devises methods of data collection and analysis. Performs data entry and analysis by using standard methods and develops modifications of standard methods to meet special situations. Develops and implements study protocols. Manages administration of study operations and study's Internal Review Board. Assists with the development and monitoring of ongoing project protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements of the University and applicable funding agencies. In collaboration with the PI, prepares presentations relative to the research study results, grants, and manuscripts.
