NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF
HIGHLAND FOREST PARKING LOT
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT AND ACCESS ROAD REHABILITATION
CONTRACT NO. 1 – GENERAL
BID REFERENCE NO. 8555
Sealed bids for the construction of the Highland Forest Parking Lot Improvement and Access Road Improvement Project will be received by the Director, Onondaga County Division of Purchase, 13th Floor Civic Center, 421 Montgomery Street, Syracuse, New York 13202, until 2:00 P.M. Local Time, on October 4, 2016 and there at said office, at said time, publicly opened and read aloud.
The project will generally consist of the following: Reconstruction of the existing parking lot including striping plan and lighting. The project also consists of the overlay of the existing access road.
The Contract Documents, including Information for Bidders and Bid Forms may be obtained from C&S Engineers, Inc., 499 Col. Eileen Collins Blvd., Syracuse, NY 13212. Requests for Contract Documents to be sent via standard U.S. mail must be accompanied by a non-refundable $15 check (made payable to C&S Engineers, Inc.) to cover postage. Requests for Contract Documents to be sent via a private shipping company must be accompanied by the recipient’s shipping company account number.
Copies of the above described Contract Documents may be examined at no expense at the Division of Purchase, 13th Floor Civic Center, 421 Montgomery Street, Syracuse, New York 13202; at the office of the County of Onondaga, Department of Parks and Recreation, 106 Lake Drive, Liverpool, New York 13088; the Syracuse Builders Exchange, Inc., 6563 Ridings Road, Syracuse, New York 13206; and at the Engineer’s office, C&S Engineers, 499 Col. Eileen Collins Blvd., Syracuse, NY 13212.
A pre-bid meeting/site visit will be held on September 20, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Highland Forest Facility, 1254 Highland Park Rd., Fabius, NY 13063.
Each bid must be accompanied by cash, certified check, or bid bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information For Bidders. In addition, the Contractor shall be required to provide a "Statement of Surety's Intent" with his bid.
The Bidders should not include in their bid the Sales and Compensating Use Taxes on the cost of the materials which are to be incorporated into the Project and which are to be separately sold by the Bidder to the municipality prior to incorporation into the Project.
The right is reserved to waive any informalities in the Bid and to reject any or all bids.
