NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF CONTRACT NO. 1

REHABILITATION AND UPGRADE OF ONEIDA LAKE PUMP STATIONS
OCDWEP PROJECT NO. 587598

BID REFERENCE NO. 8580

Sealed bids for the Rehabilitation and Upgrade of Oneida Lake Pump Stations – Contract No. 1A – General Construction, Contract No. 1B – Electrical Construction, Contract No. 1C – Mechanical Construction and Contract No. 1D – Plumbing Construction, will be received by the Director, Onondaga County Division of Purchase, 13th Floor Civic Center, 421 Montgomery Street, Syracuse, New York 13202, until 2:00 P.M. Local Time, on Thursday January 12, 2017 and there at said office, at said time, publicly opened and read aloud.

The project generally consists of the following improvements at the Oneida Lake Pump Stations:

Furnishing of all labor and materials for the rehabilitation of seven (7) sewage pump stations along the South Shore of Oneida Lake in Onondaga County, New York. The project will generally include: the demolition of existing piping, pumps, equipment, appurtenances, and concrete; installation of new submersible pump systems including motors, drives, instrumentation, controls, valves, piping and appurtenances; installation of a mechanical bar screen including controls and appurtenances; installation of two chemical feed, storage and containment systems including controls and appurtenances; installation of diesel powered generators, electrical improvements, structural improvements, installation of new roofs, installation of new doors, installation of new mechanical, plumbing and heating equipment, replacement of fencing, site improvements, bypass pumping, and other related work

The Contract Documents, including Information for Bidders and Bid Forms may be obtained from Barton & Loguidice, D.P.C., 443 Electronics Parkway, Liverpool, New York 13088 upon deposit of $75.00 per set (check only). Requests for documents to be mailed out must be accompanied by a separate $15.00 check to cover postage and handling, or the recipient’s Federal Express account number. Checks shall be payable to Onondaga County. The full amount of these deposits for sets of Contract Documents will be refunded to all holders of the Contract Documents who return their Contract Documents complete and in good condition within thirty days following award of the Contract or rejection of the bids.

Copies of the above described Contract Documents may be examined at no expense at the Division of Purchase, 13th Floor Civic Center, 421 Montgomery Street, Syracuse, New York 13202; at the office of the County of Onondaga, Department of Water Environment Protection, 3rd Floor, Administration Building, 650 Hiawatha Boulevard West, Syracuse, New York 13204; the Syracuse Builders Exchange, Inc., 6563 Ridings Road, Syracuse, New York, 13206; and at the Engineer’s office: Barton & Loguidice, D.P.C., 443 Electronics Parkway, Liverpool, New York 13088.

A pre-bid walk through will be held on December 1, 2016 at 10 a.m. Interested parties will meet at the Onondaga Department of Water Environment Protection, 7120 Henry Clay Boulevard, Liverpool, New York 13088.

Each bid must be accompanied by cash, certified check, or bid bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information For Bidders. In addition, the Contractor shall be required to provide a "Statement of Surety's Intent" with his bid.

The Bidders should not include in their bid the Sales and Compensating Use Taxes on the cost of the materials which are to be incorporated into the Project and which are to be separately sold by the Bidder to the municipality prior to incorporation into the Project.

The right is reserved to waive any informalities in the Bid and to reject any or all bids.
