Camillus Maintenance Facility
INVITATION TO BID
Sealed bids for the work located at the Onondaga County Department of Transportation Camillus Maintenance Facility, 6481 Pottery Road, Warners NY 13164 will be received at the Office of the Onondaga County Purchasing Director, Civic Center Office Building, 13th Floor, 421 Montgomery Street, Syracuse, New York 13202 until 2:00 P.M. Local Time, on MONDAY, FEBRUARY 6, 2017 and at said time and place publicly opened and read aloud.
All bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes marked with the Bidder’s name, full address, and the name of the Project for which the bid is submitted. If forwarded by mail, the sealed envelope containing the bid (marked as indicated), must be enclosed in another envelope addressed to Onondaga County Purchasing Director, as noted above, and be received there at or before the same date and time.
The work under this Contract includes the renovations and additions to the existing Camillus Maintenance Facility. The work scope includes both structure and selective demolition, reconstruction including foundation improvements, the bracing of existing structural steel frame, cast-in-place concrete floor slabs, replacement of the existing metal roof panels with the addition of skylights, miscellaneous metal fabrications, replacement of exterior cladding with unit masonry and metal panels, metal stud and unit masonry interior partitions, hollow metal doors and frames, flush wood doors, insulated exterior swinging and sectional overhead doors. The Maintenance Building expansion includes the removal of the equipment re-fueling station and infilling the available site with a 24,000 SF pre-engineered metal long span building between two existing metal long span buildings. Overall building upgrades include gang toilet rooms, training classrooms, management offices, truck maintenance repair bays, parts storage, work benches and furnishings. One large section of the existing facility renovations will become an unconditioned space for the storage of trucks and equipment. Mechanical, Electrical and Fire Protection improvements associated with the renovations to the Camillus Maintenance Facility are included in the work scope. Two existing free-standing structures are to be removed, and a separate salt storage structure are also included in the project. The site work scope includes a complete fueling station, as well as access roads providing enhanced truck and passenger car flow through the site.
The work under this Contract is to be completed by FRIDAY, OCTOBER 27, 2017. Site will be vacated by MONDAY, APRIL 17, 2017; access to some areas will be allowed starting MONDAY, MARCH 20, 2017 The successful Bidder will submit all Contract Submittals by END OF DAY MONDAY, MAY 8, 2017.

Contract Documents will be available on January 5, 2017, and may be requested by contacting Mr. Rohit Agrawal, A.I.A. via phone or email at (585) 388-2060 or firstname.lastname@example.org, upon payment of a $100 deposit by check, payable to Onondaga County, for each set. Bona fide Bidders and Subcontractors returning documents in good, unmarked condition within 30 days following the award of the Contract or rejection of bids will be refunded their full deposit.

Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Security of 5 percent of the total amount of the bid, either by certified bank cashier’s check, payable to Onondaga County, or Bid Bond, conforming to law and satisfactory to the County.
No Bidder may withdraw his bid within 45 days after the actual date of opening thereof. Payment procedures and additional requirements are defined in the Contract Documents.
Bidders shall not include in their bid the sales and compensating use taxes of the State of New York or of any City or County in the State of New York for any materials or services that are to be incorporated into this Project. The County’s federal and state tax exemption identification numbers are provided in the Contract Documents.
The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Labor and Material Bond in an amount equal to the contract award.
