The Rochester Alliance of Communities Transforming Society will host a community public action meeting to discuss police accountability, childcare assistance, and wage equity for healthcare workers on Nov. 2.
The meeting will take place at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 304 Joseph Ave., at 6:30 p.m.
“This past year we have worked on the implementation of a new system that protects members of the community from police violence,” Rochester ACTS said in a statement. “We are working on raising the wage of home health care aids. We have continued to work for expanded childcare assistance. The Rochester ACTS Public Meeting will be an opportunity to have decision makers in our community commit to the hundreds of residents in attendance their support for social change on these issues.”
The event will be free and open to the public.
