The Rochester Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. will host a community discussion following the showing of the Nate Parker film “Birth of a Nation” at 6:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 21.
The showing will take place in the Little Theater, at 240 East Ave.
Tickets will be $8 for adults, and $5 for senior citizens.
Helene Biandudi Hofer, producer and host of the WXXI-TV show, “Need to Know,” will be the moderator of a five-member panel, which will include the following guests: Dr. Marvin McMickle, president of Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School; Nate Brown, host of the radio talk show, “What’s Going On,” WHTK-AM; Terry Chaka, executive director of the Baobab Cultural Center; professor Signithia Fordham, anthropologist and faculty member at the University of Rochester; and professor Jeremy Sarachan, chairman of the Department of Media and Communication at St. John Fisher College.
