2nd Annual Play Day on the Riverway Issues Call for Youth Vendor, Volunteer Applications

Downtown Definitely Events is excited to announce the opportunity for youth entrepreneurs to participate in the 2nd annual Play Day on the Riverway.

This year, Play Day on the Riverway will highlight the Rochester community's youth, their entrepreneurial mindsets, volunteerism work within our community, and talents.

Vendor and volunteer applications are now being accepted and may be submitted online through Wednesday, September 4. Approved vendors will be notified on or before Sunday, September 8.

Play Day on the Riverway is a family-friendly free event that takes place on Saturday, September 14, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. located in and around the Rundel Memorial Library (115 South Ave, Rochester) overlooking the Genesee River from the North Terrace to the Promenade and ROC City Skatepark. It will feature various fun activities including a scavenger hunt, storytelling, entertainment, games and food and drinks to purchase.

Play Day on the Riverway is part of the third annual Downtown Definitely Events series of 14 popular free events including Midday Bash, RPO Under the Stars, Movies With a Downtown View, Play Day on the Riverway and Fall Fest. Downtown Definitely Events is produced by the Rochester Downtown Development Corporation (RDDC). RPO Under the Stars and Fall Fest are co-produced by the City of Rochester.

Downtown Definitely Events are produced for RDDC by Rochester’s Bella Events Group.

The Downtown Definitely 2023 season drew over 16,000 people downtown. The series presented 15 events in downtown Rochester from June to October creating fun activities for area residents, visitors, and those who work downtown — Midday Bash, RPO Under the Stars, Movies With a Downtown View, Play Day on the Riverway and Fall Fest.
