A Letter to my Irondequoit Brother
Dear Brother Mario Mongeon,
I support the strong media-statement that you made in defense of Irondequoit Town Supervisor, Mr. Andrae Evans (during the 2/20/25 Irondequoit Town Board meeting), especially since the so-called President of this thoroughly racist, white-supremacist-based nation-state can run around the country boasting about "grabbing women by the pussy," and nothing happens. No one says anything - NOT the racist, hypocritic District Attorney Sandra Doorley; NOT Irondequoit-Congressman Joe Morelle, who represents a Congressional District that is one of the worst in the nation relative to areas where the vast majority of Black residents live (while at the same time, there are overwhelmingly, predominantly lily-white areas in the same District, which are some of the wealthiest in this thoroughly racist, white-supremacist-based City, County, State, and Nation)!
It's also disturbing that NOT one, single, local, mush-mouthed, Black, City or County elected and/or influential appointed official has opened his or her seemingly modern-day-"slavish"-mouth to utter even a word about this situation, which they all KNOW is wrong! It's times like this when many of us really, really miss the dying, if not dead breed of politicians, like the Late, Honorable, New York State Assemblyman David Gantt, who was not at all afraid, nor shy about routinely calling out the pervasive, virulent, Tripartite Beast And Illness of Individual, Institutional, and/or Structural Racism, where ever it reared its savage-like head!
Let's be crystal-clear about what's happening to Mr. Evans in this case. The case is fundamentally NO DIFFERENT than what happened to Dick Rowland in Tulsa, Jesse Hunter in Rosewood, and the nine Scottsboro boys in Alabama. It IS fundamentally the same thing. That is, this racist subterfuge, which was reported (as front-page "news") by every major, racist media source in modern-day-slave-town-U.S.A. - is nothing more, nor less than a high-tech-modern-day-lynching. Apparently, Mr. Evans committed the cardinal sin, e.g., he offended a WELL CONNECTED NORTHERN, ITALIAN BELLE (a right reserved exclusively for Italian males, and/or rich white boys in general, like the so-called President). Thus the modern-day-lynch-MOB swung into action immediately, devising a plan to put the Black "boy" back in his place.
If RACE (not even wealth, but RACE, and more specifically, RACISM) is NOT the key factor in this case, then I would just love to hear all of the rationalizations about what is—and don't forget now; in order to present a logically-sound argument y'all are gonna need to explain your deafening-silence regarding "grabbing-them-by-the pussy!"
In my view, a LARGE CONTINGENT OF BLACK FOLKS should show up in Irondequoit on March 18th @7:00 PM, and make it clear to the modern-day-lynch-MOB that we understand what they are actually DOING, as opposed to attempting to do to Mr. Evans, and that we will NOT sit idly and silently-by, and watch it, without raising the stakes!!!
