Anthony Hall, the former director of the City of Rochester's Pathways to Peace program was sentenced yesterday after pleading guilty to assaulting a police officer during a domestic incident and for stealing over $1,000 from a local nonprofit organization.

Anthony Hall, 39, received a two-year sentence in the New York State Department of Corrections, followed by two years of post-release supervision, after pleading guilty to second-degree assault. The charge stems from a January 2 incident in which Hall injured a Rochester Police Department officer while resisting arrest during a domestic call on East Main Street. The officer sustained a broken thumb during the altercation.
In a separate case, Hall was also sentenced concurrently to one and one-half to three years in state prison for fourth-degree grand larceny. He admitted to stealing more than $1,000 from the Coalition of North East Associations, Inc., a Rochester-based nonprofit.
“Anthony Hall has showed us again and again he has no regard for the law,” said Assistant District Attorney Adam VanHeyst, who prosecuted both cases alongside Caroline Rodriguez of the Public Integrity and Economic Crimes Bureau. “I hope this sentence serves as a clear message that violence, especially against those who are entrusted with protecting us, will have serious consequences.”
Hall’s sentencing was handed down by New York State Supreme Court Justice Thomas Moran.
