Community Resource and Employment Fair Tomorrow
The City’s Department of Recreation and Human Services (DRHS) will conduct a Community Resource and Employment Fair, 1 to 4 p.m., Saturday, March 23, at the Monroe Community College Downtown Campus, 321 State St.
The fair is an opportunity for residents ages 14-21 to meet with businesses, recruiters, and community agencies to discover, and get assistance with applying for employment opportunities including Summer of Opportunity and Summer Youth Employment Program jobs. Parents, guardians, and mentors are encouraged to attend.
“Young people are the future of our city and their success is integral to our progress towards creating a safer, more equitable, and prosperous community,” said Mayor Malik D. Evans. “Any young person who wants a job or needs support should be able to get what they need to be successful. Resource fairs like this are ways we can make that happen.”
Free parking is available in lot AA on Morrie Silver Way across the street from the Downtown Campus.
