Domestic Arrest: December 9, 2024

Around 1:30am, Officers responded to an address on Fifth Street for the report of a child abduction.

Responding Officers learned that 25-year old Malik Breedlove arrived at the location and began throwing rocks

at the windows. The female victim, to which Breedlove has a child in common with, opened the front door to

tell him to go away. Breedlove displayed a handgun and forced his way into the home. He immediately went

upstairs and forced their 5-year old child out of the house. Other adults in the house attempted to stop

Breedlove and he fired at least one round from the handgun through the front door of the location before

fleeing with the 5-year old child.

Within minutes, Officers located Breedlove and the 5-year old child in the area of Central Park and Niagara

Street. Breedlove was safely taken into custody and the 5-year old was found to be physically unharmed. At the

time of his arrest, Breedlove was found to be in possession of a .45 caliber handgun that was loaded with nine

rounds.

Breedlove was transported to the Monroe County Jail and the 5-year old child was safely re-united with their

mother.
