Drive Electric Event in Rochester, NY: Showcasing the Future of Clean Transportation


As part of National Drive Electric Week 2024, Greater Rochester Clean Cities and partners Color Your Organization Green and Tesla Owners Club of NY are proud to host Drive Electric Rochester on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at Rochester Institute of Technology from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. 


The event will feature electric vehicle displays (including electric buses, mowers, a tractor and boat) and exhibitors who will provide information on the advantages of EV ownership, charging infrastructure, and the environmental impact of reducing carbon emissions. Attendees will have the opportunity to talk directly with EV owners and dealers about their experiences and explore the latest in electric vehicle technology as well as interact with local organizations working to build more sustainable communities.


Key Highlights:


  • Elected officials who will address the crowd include Senator Jeremy A. Cooney and Henrietta Town Supervisor Stephen Schultz.

  • Meet EV Owners and dealers – Learn firsthand from local EV owners and dealers about real-world experiences, including cost savings and maintenance benefits.

  • Information Booths – Experts will provide information on rebates, incentives, and charging options available for those considering making the switch to electric.

  • Monroe County will be there to share information about its Climate Action Plan.

  • Waymo will showcase one of its fully autonomous Jaguar I-PACE EVs, which currently provides more than 100,000 passenger-only trips per week in Los Angeles, Phoenix, and San Francisco. 

  • Food, live music, and kids activities!


Whether you’re curious about electric cars or a seasoned EV driver, this event will have something for everyone. Join us in celebrating the progress toward a cleaner, greener future with electric vehicles!
