Employees Held at Gunpoint by Masked Man
Employees at a local restaurant were held at gunpoint by a masked man during an early morning robbery.
In the early hours of April 19, 2024, reports confirmed deputies were called to BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse located at 760 Jefferson Road in the Town of Henrietta for an incident of unknown origin. Upon investigation, it was discovered that at 12:58 am, an individual wearing a ski mask leaped over a fence into an outdoor area near a kitchen entrance and lurked there for hours until an employee emerged to dispose of garbage in a dumpster. Brandishing a handgun, the suspect confronted the employee and coerced them back into the building. Once inside, another employee was also held at gunpoint and restrained by the suspect.
The perpetrator took an undisclosed sum of money within the establishment before fleeing on foot.
BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse officially opened its doors on September 4, 2023. It is in front of the bustling Market Square Shopping Center. Operating hours are from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 11:00 a.m. to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
