CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. — Garth Fagan Dance will present a series of performances at the Fort Hill Performing Arts Center from Friday, June 20, through Sunday, June 22, as part of its inaugural Finger Lakes residency.

Showtimes are scheduled for 8 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets range from $39 to $50.96, depending on seating and payment method.
Celebrating 54 years of innovation and international touring, Garth Fagan Dance will feature new works by Artistic Director Norwood “PJ” Pennewell and Executive Director Natalie Rogers-Cropper—both longtime principal dancers and Bessie Award winners. The program also includes timeless classics and revivals by company founder and Distinguished Artistic Director Emeritus Garth Fagan, a Tony, Helpmann, and Olivier Award-winning choreographer best known for his work on The Lion King on Broadway.
Fagan’s signature style blends modern dance, Afro-Caribbean movement, ballet, and postmodern influences, earning him acclaim as one of the most original voices in contemporary dance. Based in Rochester, N.Y., Garth Fagan Dance is a predominantly Black, artist-led organization and a pillar of the Western New York arts scene.
“The show started, and from the get-go, I was literally hypnotized... This is the art of dance at its best.” — David Boothman, Trinidad and Tobago Newsday
