A high-profile lawsuit has emerged, naming Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter and Sean "Diddy" Combs as defendants in allegations of sexual assault against a then-13-year-old girl in 2000.

The claims, detailed in an amended federal lawsuit filed by attorney Tony Buzbee, center around an alleged incident at a party following the MTV Video Music Awards. The plaintiff, identified as Jane Doe, asserts that she was drugged and raped by Carter and Combs while an unnamed female celebrity was present.

Jay-Z has strongly denied the allegations, calling them a "blackmail attempt" orchestrated for financial gain. Through Roc Nation, his management company, he has urged the accuser to pursue criminal charges if the allegations are valid, stating that he would support true victims.

Similarly, Diddy's legal team has dismissed the claims as part of a pattern of "shameless publicity stunts" by Buzbee, who represents over 120 individuals in separate lawsuits against Combs. Diddy is currently incarcerated on unrelated charges of sex trafficking and racketeering

The lawsuit adds another layer to the ongoing legal battles surrounding these music industry figures. Both parties emphasize their intent to clear their names through the judicial process.
