Legacy Makers Hosts First Wealth Conference, "Building the Next Generation"

Legacy Makers, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering the Greater Rochester community through financial education, is celebrating five years of service by hosting its first-ever Wealth Conference, "Building the Next Generation," on Saturday, September 28, 2024. The event will be held from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm at 700 Exchange St, Rochester, NY 14608.

As the organization marks this milestone, organizers says they remain committed to the mission of providing transformative financial training for individuals of all ages.

“Legacy Makers aims to break the cycle of generational poverty by equipping underserved populations with the tools needed to manage their finances, make informed decisions, and build lasting wealth,” said Pauline Josephs-McCleary, Executive Director.

Research highlights the importance of positive financial tools in helping youth escape poverty. Without such resources, young people are more likely to remain trapped in the cycle of poverty. Organizers say the upcoming Wealth Conference is a pivotal opportunity for the community to come together and make a difference.

"We believe that everyone has the potential to create a lasting impact that extends beyond their lifetime," Josephs-McCleary said. "Whether it's through financial wisdom, community contributions, or family values, we're here to guide you on your legacy-building journey."

The conference will feature a variety of sessions focused on financial empowerment, wealth-building strategies, and legacy planning. Attendees will learn practical skills to improve their financial well-being and contribute to the economic stability of their families and the community.
