Rochester, NY —Rent A Ride, the unapologetic comedy spotlighting hustle culture and urban entrepreneurship, is set to stream on Tubi this March, says filmmaker Christopher "Goodknews" Cardwell. He made the announcement during a wildly successful premiere weekend at Rochester’s Movies 10, where the film sold out two theaters, creating an electric atmosphere.

“To see Rochester show out with support for this project has been overwhelming,” said Goodknews. “This film is for the hustlers, the dreamers, and anyone navigating life’s challenges with grit and determination. Streaming on Tubi takes these stories—and the people behind them—beyond Rochester, making sure their voices are heard.”

Set in Rochester, Rent A Ride follows two brothers—one with a lead check, the other with a career college degree—who team up to launch a business and change their financial future. Inspired by their late father Carlzo B. Cardwell’s rental car business, the film blends humor with hard truths, shining a light on the ingenuity and resilience of historically marginalized communities.

"This is bold storytelling and authentic connection to the grind of everyday life," said Goodknews."But most importantly, I think It’s a comical conversation starter about real issues like economic disparities, systemic challenges, and the unwavering spirit to thrive."
