Monroe County Executive Adam Bello announced Friday, April 18, that the county’s three public golf courses have opened for the 2025 season on Monday, April 21.

The golf courses at Durand Eastman, Genesee Valley and Churchville parks will be open for play.
“Monroe County offers three affordable, accessible and competitive golf courses that provide a terrific opportunity for residents to get out and enjoy a great sport,” Bello said. “As warmer days approach, I encourage golfers of all skill levels to take advantage of the facilities we have and hit the links.”
Genesee Valley Golf Course features two 18-hole courses, an all-grass driving range and the Calvin Peete Pitch & Putt practice area. Churchville Golf Course offers 27 holes of championship golf, a large practice putting and chipping green, and an all-grass driving range. Durand Eastman Golf Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., boasts an 18-hole championship layout in a park-like setting.
Residents can also participate in lessons, tournaments and leagues at all three courses.
Free permits for discounted greens fees are available to seniors 62 and older, active military members, veterans, youth 17 and under, and golfers with a physician-certified disability. Residents can apply for permits at the pro shops located at each course.
Tee times can be booked online at www.monroecountyparksgolf.com.
Due to wet conditions, driving ranges remain closed and will reopen when conditions allow.
