Motorist Advisory October Events to Affect Downtown Traffic


The following October events will affect Downtown traffic:


Saturday, Oct. 7: The Walk to End Alzheimer’s

The following streets will be closed from approximately 8:30 - 11:30 a.m.:

  • Plymouth Avenue from Morrie Silver Way to Main Street

  • Main Street from Plymouth Avenue to Andrew Langston Way

  • Elm Street from S. Clinton Avenue to Chestnut Street

  • Cortland Street from Main Street to Elm Street

  • Andrew Langston Way from Main Street to Elm Street


Friday, Oct. 13: Rochester Americans Block Party

The following street will be closed from 7 a.m. - 9 p.m.:

  • E. Broad Street from South Avenue to Exchange Boulevard


Saturday, Oct. 14: City of Rochester Fall Fest

The following streets will be closed from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.:

  • Elm Street from S. Clinton Avenue to Chestnut Street

  • Cortland Street from Main Street to Elm Street

  • Andrew Langston Way from Main Street to Elm Street


Sunday, Oct. 15: Walk with Willow

The following streets will be closed from approximately 7:30 - 10:30 a.m.:

  • Exchange Boulevard from Main Street to Court Street

  • Court Street from Exchange Boulevard to South Avenue


Sunday, Oct. 22: Making Strides to Against Breast Cancer Walk

The following streets will be closed from approximately 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.:

  • Plymouth Avenue from Morrie Silver Way to Main Street

  • Main Street from Plymouth Avenue to Andrew Langston Way

  • Elm Street from S. Clinton Avenue to Chestnut Street

  • Cortland Street from Main Street to Elm Street

  • Andrew Langston Way from Main Street to Elm Street
