NOTA Social Celebrates a Community

The Neighborhood of the Arts Business Association (NOTABA) once again celebrates NOTA Summer Social, a neighborhood-wide celebration on Saturday, August 10.

Over 15 area businesses will offer deals, giveaways, special activities, and more. All businesses in the neighborhood have designated their own hours of operations during the day with activity happening at Three Heads Brewing from 12 - 7 pm.

Neighborhood Clean Up: Starting at 11 AM, we’re teaming up with Walking For Rochester to do a mini clean up around our neighborhood. No need to register. Just show up at Three Heads at 11 AM, grab some equipment, and help clean up the surrounding streets. All participants will get two raffle tickets and a free beverage at Three Heads.

Three Heads Brewing: This year, the main hub for the Summer Social is Three Heads Brewing. There will be activities, live music, and giveaways taking place from 12 - 7 pm. NOTABA members will also be giving special workshops/demos/presentations in a separate room at Three Heads that folks can sign up to attend for free!

Live Music by Eli Flynn + The Everymen, Wovenhome, and Fabi World Music.

Around the Neighborhood: While Three Heads is your hub for the day, the Neighborhood of the Arts will be ALIVE with activity. The Neighborhood Association host Bagel Brunch and family-friendly activities at the playground at University & Merriman. Member organizations will have signs in their windows so attendees know

where deals and events are taking place.

Shop Hop: Attendees receive a raffle ticket when they make a purchase at a participating business or attend a workshop/presentation/demo at Three Heads Brewing. Tickets need to be dropped off at Three Heads in order to qualify for a raffle item. A full list of participating businesses will be on social media and on our website.

“This year we’re doing this a bit differently. We’re centralizing the event with a main location (Three Heads) while still encouraging businesses to host sales and deals at their own buildings. This gets people walking around the neighborhood but also gives them a spot to come together, relax, and listen to some music.” - NOTABA

President, Chris Fanning Participating businesses include: Craft Company No. 6, Scents by Design, Breast Cancer Coalition, Carnegie Cellars, Halligan Creative Arts Therapy, Petit Poutinerie, Roc City Circus, Memorial Art Gallery, Image City Photography Gallery, Writers & Books, BOA Editions, Assemblymember Harry Bronson, Three Heads Brewing, The NOTA Neighborhood Association, and more.
