Roadwork to Cause Delays on Portions of Ford Street, West Main Street

City of Rochester Motorist Advisory

A portion of Ford Street—from Dr. Samuel McCree Way to Exchange Street will be closed to traffic on Wednesday, Sept. 25 and is scheduled to reopen by Friday, Oct. 18, 2024, weather permitting, for rehabilitation work on the round-a-bout there. Motorists are asked to seek alternative routes and to obey all temporary signage, flaggers and detours during this time.

Also on Wednesday, Sept. 25, a portion of West Main Street—between Broad Street and Madison Street—will undergo roadway milling and resurfacing through Wednesday, Oct. 2, weather permitting. This portion of West Main Street will remain open during this period.

Motorists should expect traffic delays and lane shifts during the workday and are encouraged to seek alternate routes if possible. Motorists are asked to obey posted signs and flaggers throughout the work zone. Parking restrictions will be in place during the work.
