RPD responds to RGH for the report of a walk in stabbing victim
On August 22, 2024 at approximately 4:44pm, Rochester Police Officers responded to Rochester General Hospital for the report of a walk in stabbing victim - around the same time Officers were also dispatched to the 800 block of N. Goodman Street for the report of a robbery. It was quickly learned that the two incidents were related. The victim who walked into Rochester General Hospital is a 35 year old male City of Rochester resident who was suffering from at least 1 stab wound to his upper body. He is currently being treated for his injuries and his condition has been deemed to be critical but stable. Through investigation it was learned that this incident started over a dispute on N. Goodman Street and escalated to the victim being stabbed and the suspect receiving minor injuries. There is currently 1 person in custody and this is still an on-going investigation.
