Families, friends, and art enthusiasts gathered today for the grand opening of Scribble, an innovative new children’s art studio designed to spark imagination, boost confidence, and support the growth of children and families of all abilities. Scribble is located in Bushnell’s Basin at 725 Pittsford Victor Road, Pittsford, NY 14534.

Scribble offers painting, drawing, sculpting, and mixed-media classes that focus on the creative process. Its 1,100-square-foot open layout is designed to accommodate a variety of artistic programs, including art classes, open studio sessions, workshops, Friends & Family Nights, school break camps, summer camps, and private events, including birthday parties.

Scribble was founded by lifelong friends and Rochester natives Sasha Milner and Annie Sanford. Building on successful careers in Ithaca, NY, Boston, MA, and New York City, they have returned to their hometown to unite their creative energies and passion for art to make Scribble a cornerstone for creativity and community in greater Rochester.

Milner, co-owner and head of business and operations, has more than 15 years of experience in business management and event planning. Sanford, Scribble’s co-owner and head of art and curriculum, has 11 years of teaching experience and a master’s degree in Childhood Inclusive Education.

“Opening Scribble marks a significant milestone for our community and for everyone who values the power of creativity. This studio is designed with youth in mind, offering a space where children can explore and grow, but it’s also a welcoming place where people can explore their creativity and connect with their artistic side. I’m looking forward to seeing the impact Scribble will have,” said Milner.

“After months of planning and preparation, we’re excited to finally open our doors and welcome families into this new space. At Scribble, we’ve built a place where creativity thrives, and I can’t wait to see the joy and self-expression that will unfold as children and families explore, express themselves, and grow together,” said Sanford.

In addition to the owners, Scribble employs a staff of four teachers to support class offerings. The new team will deliver a range of art programs designed to encourage creativity and self-expression for children and families.

“We’re excited to welcome Scribble to Bushnell’s Basin in the Town of Perinton. This studio is a fantastic addition to our community, offering local families a place to connect, be creative, and have fun. Sasha and Annie’s vision has created a space that will inspire and bring people together, and we’re proud to have them as part of the Perinton community,” said Town Supervisor Ciaran Hanna.

Scribble’s Programs include Weekly Classes, Summer Camp, School Break Camp, Homeschool Scribblers, Friends & Family Night, Workshops, Open Studio, and Private Functions.
