The City of Rochester Public Market and the Friends of the Rochester Public Market are celebrating Black Business Month by hosting a Black Business Expo, 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 24 at the Market, 280 N. Union St. BIPOC owned (Black, Indigenous and People of Color) businesses are invited to highlight their products and services and sign up to participate as vendors.

The Black Business Expo presents a valuable opportunity for both new and established business owners to gain exposure, network with other business leaders, and engage with the vibrant community at the City of Rochester Public Market. A portion of the market will be reserved to host the Expo; there will be signage directing customers to the event. The fee to participate in the Expo as a vendor is $30, which helps support programs organized by the Friends of the Rochester Public Market.

The City of Rochester Public Market, a historic and iconic venue known for fostering entrepreneurship and community, offers a diverse range of fresh produce, artisanal goods, and cultural experiences. Open year-round on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, the Market attracts more than 2.5 million visitors throughout the year.
