Veterans Day Observed on Fri., Nov. 10, 2023 – City Hall and Administrative Offices
In honor of Veterans Day, which is being observed on Friday, Nov. 10, 2023, the city announced closure / suspension of the following offices and services:
Rochester City Hall, Neighborhood Service Centers, Rochester Public Libraries, R-Centers, Rochester Animal Services, and the Honorable Loretta C. Scott Center for Human Services Administrative Office Building at 57 St. Paul Street.
Note –
Refuse and recycling collection will remain on schedule.
Rochester Public Libraries will be closed from Fri., Nov. 10 – Sat., Nov. 11.
Also, not, the 311 Call Center will remain open during its normal hours from 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. Monday though Friday.
Veterans Day parade traffic temporary street closings;
The parade steps off at 10:30 a.m. at Highland Avenue and S. Goodman Street. Street parking within the parade route is prohibited.
The following streets will close at 7:30 a.m. and will re-open as the last participants move along the parade route:
Reservoir Avenue from South Avenue to Pinetum Drive
Pinetum Drive from S. Goodman Street to Doctors Drive
Doctors Drive from Pinetum Drive to Mt. Vernon Avenue
S. Goodman Street from Highland Parkway to Highland Avenue
The following streets will close at 10 a.m. and will re-open as the last participants move along the parade route:
Highland Avenue from Lilac Drive to Mt. Hope Avenue
South Avenue from Reservoir Avenue to Stewart Street
S. Goodman Street from Elmwood Avenue to Highland Avenue
