Tonight, anticipate more rain and thunderstorms before 2 am, then a chance of showers from 2 am to 5 am. The low temperature will be around 68 degrees, with light and variable winds transitioning to a northwest direction at 5 to 7 mph after midnight. There is an 80% chance of precipitation, with new rainfall amounts expected to range between a quarter and half an inch.
In addition to heavy rainfall, thunderstorms also bring the risk of strong winds and lightning. The National Weather Service is predicting a southeast wind blowing at 11 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. These strong winds can cause damage to trees, power lines, and other structures.
