Nicole Lynn, a prominent sports agent and lawyer, has been announced as the special guest at the annual Empowering Women Luncheon hosted by the YWCA of Rochester and Monroe County. Lynn, recognized by Sports Illustrated as one of the most powerful women in sports, is renowned for her representation of high-profile athletes, particularly in the NFL. Notably, she made history as the first Black woman to represent a National Football League draft pick and played a significant role in negotiating the most lucrative contract in NFL history.

Lynn is also the President of Football Operations at Klutch Sports Group and advocates for diversity and inclusion within the sports industry. As an author and motivational speaker, she shares her experiences and insights on breaking barriers in traditionally male-dominated fields.

The YWCA of Rochester and Monroe County have expressed their excitement welcoming Nicole Lynn as a pioneer and game-changer for women in the world of professional sports. Organizers confirmed Lynn will offer advice and life lessons on creating personal success stories and navigating challenges.

Deanna Dewberry, an anchor and investigative reporter with WHEC-TV, will serve as the emcee for the event. With three decades of experience in television news, Dewberry has been an integral part of the News10NBC team and the Greater Rochester community since 2017. The luncheon will begin with a fireside chat featuring Nicole Lynn, moderated by Dr. Myra Henry, the President and CEO of YWCA of Rochester and Monroe County.

Dr. Myra Henry emphasizes the power of individuals who challenge the status quo and drive positive change within the community. The Empowering Women Luncheon not only raises essential funds for the YWCA's programs and services for women and families but also provides inspiration and motivation for women and their allies to impact positive change in their lives.

Organizers asserted that funds from the event will support the YWCA's programs, including shelter services, affordable housing, addiction recovery, workforce development, and community engagement for women, girls, and families.

The Empowering Women Luncheon, themed "Game Changers," will take place on September 25 at the Joseph A. Floreano Rochester Riverside Convention Center. Individual tickets for the event are available for $75 per person, and a table for ten can be reserved for $750, which includes reserved seating.
